:( as you probably figured, this is hugely upsetting to me. i hope this cemetery already has a restoration/preservation group who will make sure this is taken care of.
Oh.... I was all excited thinking how wonderful a storm in the cemetery sounded. I seemed to have forgotten the devastation that Mother Nature can bestow upon the living and nonliving. How sad..
That was some crazy storm, eh? I didn't see anything as damaging as in your photos, but can you say holy flooding? Gee whiz, all that water was insane! The water is still high over here. Pure craziness.
My husband just came downstairs and asked how much sleep I am planning to get tonight. Pshaw! I can't go to bed yet, I replied. I just have to do one more thing.
You're my one more thing.
I'm here, Blue Violet.
Coming back to your site makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I've been trying to get caught up on my commenting tonight and have seen many of the places you've been. Don't go burning yourself out. I don't think I could handle you going MIA again.
Looks like a good storm. Glad it wasn't here. {*grin*}
BTW, I was happy to see you reappear. For some reason the original feed I had in my ready went silent. So I re-subscribed and noticed that it is a new feed now. Hopefully I will see some posts.

Heartbreaking. I would be heart broken if I went to the cemetary and saw graves destroyed like that. Happy WW!
Visiting from SITS. Wow, a lot of damage was done by that storm. Sure hate to see the damage to headstones.
Wow - what a storm!
YIKES! That is just terrible.
I always feel so sad when I see trees downed by a storm. Not to mention the damage to the headstones here...
Uh oh.
Oh thats sad:( I hate storms but to ruin all those stones

What a mess! Feel sorry for whomever has to clean that up. And, I feel sorry for the families whose graves it fell on!
Oh, wow! What a crazy storm. I haven't seen anything like that since the last ice storm we had when I was in Oklahoma sometime last year.
I hope the cemetery gets it restored soon, or already has.

Poor tree....
That must have been a scary storm! Hopefully someone will fix the headstone.
That's horrible! The tree was so beautiful too. What a place to land.
I can sympathize with them. We had a storm come thru last week and are still cleaning up the aftermath. So sad about the headstones though.....
Hopefully not to many "residents" got injured!
Oh my gosh. I hope they get is all fixed up. What a wild storm.
Oh, that's terrible! I hope they are able to fix it.
That was some storm. I feel sorry for the families whose graves the branches fell on.
Wow that is some heavy duty stuff! Yikes!

Whoa! It takes a major storm to affect trees that large--
Blessings~
Oh my gosh, that is crazy!!!!
Wow, that was quite a storm.
That must have been a powerful storm!
yeah we used to get messed up cemeteries in the south east from the high water table. makes you rethink being "put in the ground"
I guess they aren't resting in peace right now huh? What a mess. Hope it gets fixed soon.
Yikes, that is horrible. It is so sad to see the headstones destroyed.
looks like you need the tree cowboy
Was that a recent storm? Looks like it was a pretty strong one! Those trees are so big--I hope they didn't do too much damage!
That is heartbreaking. Could be much worse, could have been vandals.
Well, I suppose that is one place where storm damage won't make you homeless. :)
Wow looks like lots of damage.
That must have been some powerful storm!
Happy WW! :)
Don't worry...I'll be sure to stalk you while I'm on vacation... ;)
YOU ARE SO CLOSE TO 200!!! Very fun. I pondered waiting to click follow to be the 200th!!!
Awful storms. I hope it's over for a while for you.
Oh, that makes me so sad! What a beautiful tree it was!
Wow. I love storms, but the destruction can be very sad.
That is so sad...the pictures definitely make one think a bit.
Thanks for stopping by!
ooops! Who gets to clean that up?? Ghost busters?
How awful!!
That must have been one crazy storm! Wow!
BTW, thanks for the comment the other day about Emilio's accident. It made me feel just a little bit better. :)
what awful damage
I love old cemeteries. But EEK! This is scary!
Wow! Glad no one was visiting the gravesites at that time. That's horrible.
Oh boy! Hope no one got hurt.
You know it is sad to see this kind of damage, but at least it was not done at the hand of man.
Is this cemetery close to your home?
Wow! thats really sad!
Thats some storm! Good pictures though
How sad! I hope they're able to clean it up quickly and replace the stones!
Wow... I bet that costs a ton of money to replace all of those headstones!! Crazy storm!
Oh that is really sad.
I finally got here but had to go through your profile to do it!
Cool pictures girl!
Justine :o )
That is so sad...I hope some restoration can be done!
Thats awful!
We've had some bad damage here, but mainly to farm land, trailer parks, and outlying areas. I feel awful for people when this stuff happens :(

You know.... we don't live too far apart....
Oh no! That is so sad...that must have been one heck of a storm!!!
This happened in a cemetery near us (Atlanta) and it was so sad. Graves from the Civil War era were upturned and destroyed.
oh yikes that isn't good! can you even stand the heat today in MI?
It must be a really bad storm. Hope they can clear it up soon.
Thanks for your great comment you left on my blog about NAIS! A paperwork nightmare is exactly right!
Crazy weather!
I'm creeped out. Mostly because I keep imagining it at night!
That is very scary!

Sad! I wonder what can be done for the families whom have loved one burried there. :(
Happy WW from Sara @ The Mostly Wordless Wednesday H.Q.!
How sad. I hope the stones could be righted.
Devastating in so many ways!
That's too bad - hopefully it gets fixed soon...horrible for any family members affected.
Looks like a good storm. Glad it wasn't here. {*grin*}
