Flat Iron Fail - W/W Wednesday

October 21, 2009

When I got my first straightening iron, we were all pretty fascinated. So one day we decided to see if we could straighten my son's soft curls. This is the result of that experiment.

Your son is def a good sport! I've never tried a flat iron. Of course, i don't even own a hair drier so i should probably start there. LOL

cat said...

Oh what a sport he is!

Rob said...

Doesn't look like it worked. He is a good sport though.

Happy WW!

Run DMT said...

Not so much. LOL He was a good sport, though.

sheila said...

nope. lol. Great kid though to go thru that for ya! Must love his momma!

Tammy Howard said...

Not good. We try periodically to get the hubs to let us try it on his (quite long, quite curly) hair but he won't let us near him with it... so I agree with all of the above posters - your guy is a good sport.

Your kids are so fun!

I've definitely seen some people out there with worse hair. :o)

Susie said...

I don't know if that is a fail. Heck, he is probably on the cutting edge of some new bed-head style:-)

Buckeroomama said...

Wow, he let you use the straightening iron on him? What a sport. :)

You know what? He reminds me of Meeno Peluce (remember Voyagers?)...

Tina said...

He has beautiful hair, regardless. If you are serious about giving him a straight 'do, you need to blow dry his wet hair, smoothing it with a brush first, otherwise . . . well, you have pictures of otherwise.

Abby said...

LOL! Not a success, eh?

Mother Mayhem said...

Cute kid. ;o)

Michele said...

You know you had to try. What a great sport he is.

Lee the Hot Flash Queen said...

How long did that take you?? LOL!

parentingBYdummies said...

#2 loves it when I straighten his hair. He calls it "lion hair", I call it a whole lotta work for a really bad outcome. I'm curious about whether or not he will still let me do it when he's a big boy like yours!

Stephanie Faris said...

Hilarious. Don't fight the curls!!!

Secret Mom Thoughts said...

He is a good sport.

Cinnamon said...

Darn... I was just going to say he's a good sport but secret mom beat me to it! Nonetheless, he is ADORABLE!
Straight irons probably work best on really long hair... something about the length and weight of it helps flatten it out. I know my short layers are the hardest to get smooth,

So cute!!!!

I tried using a flat iron to straighten my hair. I burned myself like 10 times. It took me a week before I could walk right! hahahaha! (still afraid to call?) hehe
