Sunsweet Ones are a Super Fruit! - Review and Giveaway

November 17, 2009

Yum diddles! I just got to try Sunsweet Ones! You can call them dried plums or you can just call them prunes, but we're talking about the same delicious and nutritious fruit.

Now they come individually wrapped, so they're perfect for throwing in a purse or a lunch box! Kids love them, adults love them, they're the perfect Super Fruit!

Prunes are rich in antioxidants, potassium, and fiber, promote a healthy heart and healthy bones, and four prunes contain just 100 calories!

How do they taste? Delicious! I've always liked prunes and these were just as flavorful and moist as ever without the sticky mess! I used to buy them by the box. They all stuck together in a big prune clump, and my fingers were covered in prune goo. No more of that nonsense.

*******

Buy It: Sunsweet Ones or any other Sunsweet product can be purchased directly from Sunsweet or can be found in your local grocery store.

Win It: Five (5) winners will each receive a Sunsweet reusable shopping bag and a Sunsweet VIP Coupon, which is good for ANY Sunsweet product up to $5.50 in value.

Sunsweet prunes are not a new product just the way they are marketed. I am 74 and a box of Sunsweet prunes and raisins were always on the dining room table at out house for after school snacks and stewed prunes were a 3 and 4 days a week breakfast dish at our house. My grandmother made a raisin filling for cookies from Sunsweet raisins that was to die for. At Christmas time we always carried a box of them to our teacher and the school principle and she said that it was the gift she most waited for. I wish I had her recipe but she was a dump and look and taste cook, never used a recipie. My now adult children grew up with Sunsweet prunes and raisins also.
