I have no idea how it snuck in past my spyware protection but it did, and it knocked my computer all higgety H to the ell.
Supposedly it's clean now, but my load times are frackin' ridic. So, I still need to see if anything is wrong. It might just be the snow. Uh huh, the snow. It makes the internet painfully, outrageously slow, like 2-3 minutes per page slow.
I was gone for a long time, huh? hee hee, it was fun!
I had a great time with the family, and I've been trying to square away a blog makeover I'm doing in a couple of weeks. I've had this blog design for a year or so, and it's time for a change. Mama's tired of it.
And no, I'm not moving to WordPress. I'm just redoing the look of things.
And something else, my lovelies. I'm trying to figure out who the heck you all are. I mean I know ya, but I don't really know ya.
That makes no sense.

*Update* My computer is still infected. It has Virtumonde on it, and the newest strains of it are exceptionally nasty. I probably won't post again until the virus is gone. Someone is working on it remotely, but if he can't fix it, I'll have to take it in to the store or have someone come to the house and see what they can do.

I work in tech support so I know how nasty that spyware/virus stuff can be. Sometimes you can System Restore and go back a week or two and all is well. But sometimes completely redoing the PC is all that will get rid of it. Some spyware software is good...but it's hard for it to keep up with all the stuff people create. Hope all is well now!

Ok, I thought my blogger blog roll was effed up when it kept showing you as not posting. Happy New Year. Oh, I did the survey. I laughed at the option "now married". Why not just "married". "Now Married" seemed suggestive of maybe not married in the future.
Where did you get the image of the Happy New Year monsters. Love them. Since becoming a better blogger is a long way off for me, I have been searching for a better icon. The monsters rock and I want to see more from whomever created them. Nice touch, again.

How nice to have you back! I've missed your posts. And about the Malware, don't even get me STARTED. I've had two vicious attacks in the past month & now have Malware Bytes installed on my computer to ward them away. I've had a few viruses in my lifetime and they are horrible. Was it fixed remotely or did you have to take it in?

The last time I got a computer virus, I swore up and down that if someone gave me the name and address of the loser who created the virus, I would show up at his house, ring his doorbell and punch him square in the nuts. Let's just say I was a tad annoyed at the whole thing.

Sorry about the computer stuff. There's nothing more frustrating than having a virus you can't get rid of. I think there should be a special place in hell reserved for the virus creators, one where they have to sit at a computer for all eternity, with no computer knowledge, desperately trying to rid their computer of viruses.
Oh, computer janx are the bane of my existence. Early in 2009 our basement desktop suffered the "Blue Screen of Death," and my laptop took a dive at the beginning of December. Here's hoping everything is running smoothly for you in the New Year! Here's to 2010...

A virus killed my last computer :( It was old and probably needed to be replaced... but I lost all my music, which really sucked.

Didn't get to do the survey, but the slow pc - sounds malware-ish. Hoping now that remote-guy thinks its all gone, you should see an improvement in speed.
And when in doubt panda's online scanner here is excellent.
There are other tools you can use too. If you ever need any help just drop me a line or send me a tweet. I'd be glad to help ya out. ;-)

I got a terrible malware that blew up my computer a couple of years ago through IM. The only thing that took it out was a software disk I had to buy called, "WebRoot" It is a great spy/malware checker and knock on wood haven't had a problem since....
