Igor is on visa from Russia.
Igor was at my family Christmas party this year. And last year. And the year before that.
Igor is currently living with my brother. He used to live with my other brother.
He doesn't work, and nobody seems to know why he's here and how he infiltrated my family.
My family is so beyond weird.
But they sure do like Igor.

My husband has a friend from college like that. No job, not currently in school, and he actually floats between different guys apartments. He has been stateside for probably about 6 years. His dad is some sort of official in Africa. That is how he gets around it somehow I'm guessing.

You know what's weird is that I find this totally normal. It is a super European thing for people to just kind of meet and then befriend families in that way. My grandpa was English and knew people from all over the world. They would just pop into our lives for awhile and then magically pop out. But when they were there they were like totally part of the fam. Igor sounds cool. If he's Orthodox you can wish him a Merry Christmas on Jan 7th. Thats Russian Christmas. My great grandmother was Russian so thats why we celebrate it at our house, just in case your wondering how I pulled that out of my ass.
