Mixes From the Heartland {Review and Giveaway}

I don’t know that much about the gluten-free dealio, but I know it’s make or break for some of ya, so I’ve just done a bit of sampling from Mixes from the Heartland.

Cuz I go the distance for you people.

The first thing I tried was the Chicken Veggie Soup. This was super easy to make. They suggest using chicken broth in place of part of the water when you make it. I didn’t do that, and I should have, because it did need the flavor boost in my opinion. I really loved the noodles in this soup. They were the best part!

I also made the Raspberry pound cake, which was super easy to make. I just added eggs, oil, and milk and baked it in a loaf pan. It comes out with a pretty pink color (so it would be fun on Valentine’s Day, ya’ll) and it tastes really sweet and delicious. I enjoyed this one very much.

I also received a Brownie mix and a Navy Bean soup mix that I have yet to try. I look forward to doing that soon. Yum!
