A Thing That's Happy or Some Kinda Deal of Sorts

January 22, 2010

It's play or die time.

So, what was I tagged for again? Tell a thing 7 or 10 times, happy something whatever.

So let's over share a bit, and call this tag deal a mission complete. D'accord?

A Nut in a Nutshell

1. I do not like female singers. Crank me up me some man grit, yo.

2. I have a heart in my siggy line and it blows my mind that I allowed a fruity thing like that to happen.

3. I must push long sleeves up my arm part of the way, or I'll die.

4. I wouldn't touch library books or garage sale items for most of my life. Unsaintly germs ride up in there.

5. I abhor the smell of Brut but thanks to the memories, I have a sick attraction to it as well.

6. I frown almost all the time, yet I'm happy almost all the time.

7. I count numbers like I'm counting on dice. Always.

8. The juice of my life is peppermint.

9. I have triple pierced ears because one upon a time that was edgy. Good Lord.

10. I like tampons.

Welcome to my darkness.

I am ALWAYS pushing my sleeves up too! If for some odd reason I want them down, I then get uber po'd because they're all wonky and don't sit right anymore.

I love the little heart in your siggy.

Buckeroomama said...

My long sleeves are pushed up now! I absolutely heart 3/4 sleeves; now those I don't push up.

Secretia said...

Long sleeves get in the way of everything and make me feel clumsy.
But when I'm cold I put up with it.

I am not a fan of pushing my sleeves up. I avoid 3/4 sleeve shirts like the plague. I am not sure why. I guess just the feeling drives my crazy :-)

BV - it went like this:

Gasp! Chuckle! Laugh! Sputter! Coffee spit all over desk.

You should write more posts like this. I adore your dark side. And I'm still laughing out loud like some kind of maniac!

"Crank me up me some man grit, yo."
I may never recover from that one.

otin said...

I hate long sleeves! I will not wear them indoors.

Brut is okay, it is that Axe shit that makes me want to puke.

I am not a fan of Tampons! hahaha!

singedwingangel said...

Lmbo.. soo if this is youlr dark side does Darth Vader comeout somewhere in this part and go " *freaky breathing sound* Luke I am your Father"?
I loath long sleeves too...

DG at Diary of a Mad Bathroom said...

OH yes. Long sleeves are of the devil.

Tori said...

I love long sleeves. If I'm not wearing them I'm usually wearing a sweater. At least in winter... The only time I push them up is when they get in my way, like when I'm eating or cooking.

Suz said...

You're messed up, man. Tampons suck! Diva Cups rule!

You drank orange juice after brushing your teeth? What are you even talking about??

Brian Miller said...

sleeves must go up!

and whats wrong with your orange juice?

Susie said...

I love what you have done with the darkness. It is not evil or scary at all:-)

I'm with you on 8 of the ten points - but I'm not getting specific.

Dark...I like it!

Rubbing alcohol works wonders on library books. We used it all the time to clean them up.

I can never find sleeves long enough to cover my insanely long monkey arms. Everything starts out looking like it's a 3/4 length.

everythingisjustwonderful said...

What does this mean, you count numbers like you're counting on dice? I missed it, I think. Also, you're insane. But the good kind, not the weapon wielding kind.

Midday Escapades said...

Oh man, I had totally forgotten about Brut. I agree, no like it.

Thanks for linking up at Friday Follow. I am already following and stopping over to say hello.

Interesting list. Number 10 made me LOL.

Happy Friday!

I have a son that can't stand to wear long sleeves. Even in the middle of winter he wants short sleeves on. I hate to have my neck touched. Not sure why, but makes me gag.

The Mommyologist said...

So funny! I'm not big on female singers either...and I definitely like tampons!

Mighty M said...

I like the way you do your meme's. Hilarious!

I am okay with having my sleeves rolled down. But I am so tall that regular shirts tend to leave an inch or two gap at the wrist. When that happens, up they go!

Molly said...

I didn't think you did these things, otherwise I would have tagged you!

I still have a germ phobia, if I buy food, I take the box behind the one closest to me, hopefully no one has touched it yet.

suzicate said...

Your list absolutely cracks me up!!!! I'm like that about touching things that I don't know where they've been!

Joy said...

I always wondered how that little heart got there. Could've just snuck up from someone else's.

More germs than anything.....money :o I always hated getting raggedy money at the restaurant because I knew it had tons of yuck

I like to keep my sleeves down if they're lose, slightly up if they're fitted.

June said...

I have thought about the books from the library & used books stores being germy and such but I just can't resist. I do wipe the covers of the books down...

Heatherlyn said...

I never thought about the used books thing ... but I do think the magazines in doctor's offices and beauty salons might be kind of gross and germy!

Also, hooray for tampons!

Happy Friday!

Melinda said...

aside from number 10 I don't know how we get along :)
I like long sleeves, down to my fingers. I go to the library and goodwill for books all the time. I don't waste food, especially berries LOL

I might not ever touch a library book again. Maybe that is why I avoid the library - it's the germs.

Long sleeves yuck. I get all panicky.

Tampons scare me.

Happy Friday.

I also have a compulsion to push my sleeves up! I do like 3/4 sleeves but want the flexibility of long just in case I get cold. I know, never quite satisfied.

Closer to Lucy said...

LMAO! Funny how we all have our little quirks. I relate to the sleeves, frowing, and triple ear piercing but...

How do you count numbers like counting on dice? Isn't loving tampons like loving your period?

Erin said...

Okay, so I'm an avid reader and I love books. But I get a little skeeved out in libraries. You are right about those germs--you never know where that stuff has been!!! I prefer to buy my books from Amazon, thanks very much. LOL!

Kelly said...

I push my sleeves up too! I can't stand it if they are down. I was "edgy" too *cough* and have triple pierced ears.

As for tampons, they top my list of currently available options, but I would be more than happy to never see one again. Ever!!

Tampons are my equipment of choice, too. Wait, that totally doesn't sound right. You know what I mean. I think.

I just realized something - I think I'm using that same font you're using for your signature in the new Princess Nagger website...subliminal suggestion from you, perhaps? ;)

Oui, d'accord!

I hate library books. Didn't used to until I got one with a bunch of stains on the pages and it grossed me out. What were they anyway?

Alicia said...

How funny, I don't really care for female singers either!!

shortmama said...

I only buy 3/4 sleeve tops to wear in the winter. I cant do long sleeve without pushing them up either....I feel like Im going to pass out if I dont push them up!!!

And I like tampons too

foxy said...

You know, when I'm swishing my mouthwash around, I have to count to 60 and most of the time, I don't think there's any way i can make it that long.

Yum. Brut.

I must frown fairly frequently or else i wouldn't have the karate chop that lives in the space right between my eyebrows. -:(

foxy said...

And is #10 in comparison to pads? Because if that's the case, I like tampons too. But not really, because i hate that time of the month.

Goose said...

I will only wear 3/4 sleeves if I'm wearing a button up dress shirt. I can't stand full length sleeves for shirts like that. Also tampons all the way!!!

Joanna Jenkins said...

Your list made me laugh out loud, then I got to Otin's comment and nearly spit soda out of my nose.

Pam said...

Number 6 and number 10. People are constantly asking me if I'm in a bad mood. I always reply with: "no, thats just how my face looks. Blame my mother, I do." The best thing that ever happened to me was when Tampax came out with a box of scented tampons for different stages of your period.

Holly said...

What a trip. Fascinating 411.
You enjoy tampons or you are just happy that they exist? Would you wear one just because you like them? I think they make something else for that.

Adoption of Jane said...

LOL @ Edgy!!!

Ronnie said...

I'm sure thankful for tampons myself!! And I too had three holes in one ear once upon a time! I think we're dating ourselves!!

cindi said...

Thanks for stopping by my blog...you made me laugh with your list. I like tampons too...UGH!

Smart Mouth Broad said...

MHS doesn't like female singers either. Weird. My kids used to ask me what was wrong because of the look on my face. I would respond with "Nothing! That's just my face." It's become legendary in this house. I guess I must frown alot too. But I'm usually happy.
Oh and thank God for tampons.

LMJ said...

98% OF MY BOOKS were brand new when I got them.
I like tampons too...you can pretty much sleep in any position.

Shelley said...

I think the only people who appreciate tampons are the ones who were given those gigantic pads (with the belts!) in 5th grade (remember that little care package?) After wearing those for awhile, tampons were like a gift.

I frown all the time. My grade school teachers were always asking me if I was ok.

Aunt Becky said...

Triple pierced ears. Oh, I remember being edgy.

Susan Fobes said...

There are only a select few female singers I do like, and I mean a select, and usually they are in a duo or something with dudes and only sing sometimes. I'd rather listen to a man sing any day.

Thanks for the follow!

I swear I was just reading another blog saying how much they loved tampons - too funny :D (and no it wasn't on my blog) -- fist bump for triple pierced ears. I have that too - but only one one side - extra super edgy ;-)

Jenners said...

I am the exact same way about long sleeves. I always look for 3/4 length sleeves ... but I can't always find them beause I also need v-necks or scoop necks ... I can't stand turtlenecks or crew necks. I'm very very picky about my shirts now that I think about it.

I so was not expecting the tampon comment... I had to laugh out loud on that one - when I think about what an amazing invention the tampon really is... you know.. any hoo - I have to push up the sleeves too - can't stand sleeves down to my wrists.

love to you.

Well ... I like many female singers (Grace Slick comes to mind) and I am not fond of Tampons (probably a guy thing) and I wear Brut. So I guess you won't be reading my blog anymore. {*grin*}

Joyful said...

Oh My!! I never thought about those unsaintly germs riding around on those library books and garage sale items. YUK! No wonder I have the stomach flu today. LOL
I always roll my long sleeves up. Can't stand those sleeves that fit so snug I can't roll them up.

*Friday Follow*

LT said...

Ditto on the long sleeves and Brut. I have to touch the garage sale stuff though, too cheap not to!
And I like your heart in the siggy line.
Great list!

Kristen said...

I guess Tampons are useful!

Georgina said...

I'm all about pushing my sleeves up. (But it's more out of necessity than anything since long sleeves are about twice as long as they need to be for me. LOL!) I wear short-sleeved shirts in the winter and everyone says, "Aren't you cold?". 3/4 length sleeves are perfect long-sleeves for me. I was so happy when that trend came around! - G

Helene said...

This was a great list! I'm the same way with long sleeves...I can't stand them but obviuosly can't wear short sleeves when it's so cold out. I found some shirts that had those 3/4 sleeves but even those bug me too!!

A lovely and unconventional list. Most female singers are annoying, and you must move to FL, where you'll never wear long sleeves again...most years that is. Ever tried a peppermint Mocha at Starbucks? Mmmmm....Only 4,008 calories!

Wow! Didn't see any of those coming...well maybe the tampons but not the Brut(-;

I believe I was one who tagged you and I LOVE your gritty take on it ;) I love #5, oh the juxtaposition! I have a couple of scents I have a love/hate thing with as well.
I have faint hole reminders in my lobes (and one on the top of one ear) of when that was oh so cool! Funny, how even after years of not using them, they NEVER grow back!
xx

LadyStyx said...

Im the same way with long AND 3/4 sleeves. I always shove those buggers up to my elbows (then they bug me there too so I pull them down and up shoving them back up again.

I prefer male singers too, unless it's an eff you song, then it must be female and something I can scream at the top of my lungs (while in tune, naturally).

hmmm...I may have to do this one on my own blog, either that or I'll end up hijacking your comment section...

Martha@Menagerie said...

Well, don't we have a lot in common! You know what I do all time that's even worse than hearts - sideways smiley faces. Aren't those just a little stone age now? But I can't help it! They show up in my posts and almost every single comment I write. I'm sure I must need some kind of therapy.

By the way, I really love your blog, you always make me smile :-)

Sh*t, there I go again!!!
