That's right. I got waxed Brazini style.
What's Brazini style? Well, I look at it like this:
Brazil: left with nill
Brazini: left with teeny

And I found out that those Brazil related visits involve quite a bit of pain... and bruising.. and cursing... and sheer bloody torture.
But you know what? Some things are worth it.
However, this isn't one of them.

From all that I've read about it, it doesn't seem to be worth the torture.
Three words. Hair removal cream!
Haha! I am sure that it will be worth it! Are you planning on going swimming somewhere? :)
You are too cute!
You are a brave, brave woman, indeed!!
I got waxed once, just the edges ya know? NEVER agai! I'd rather shave!
Not only is it not worth it you pay big bucks for the privilege. Ouch!
Too bad you can't get an epidural with that.
Why? Ouch.
and....OUCH!
Wowie zowie!! you know wat, I've always wanted to get one.. but now am not so sure:-)
you would have to get me well sauced...
Ouch! I won't be doing that in this life time. Gave birth twice - that's enough pain for me :)
Thanks for the warning!
roflmbo @ your comparison.. but I like the others bow before your greatness cause I would never willingly go et that done. EVER
Getting my eyebrows waxed is about as close to torture as I can tolerate...you poor thing. Well, as they say, "A lesson learned..."
I have never had the desire to go to Brazil.
I mean, I was there when I was about 0-11, and I don't look back!!!!!
ouchhie.
Hehehe! Not interested in having a painful experience
I agree with Cherly, the eyebrow waxing is enough torture for me. LOL OUCH!!!!
Sissy
omg, i cried a little just thinking about it!
That looks scary. Positively scary. I am glad you made it out alive.
OUCH and I don't think so for me. Thanks...YIKES>
You're a braver woman than I am!
I believe that waxing was developed by men to keep the women down. Stick it to the man...don't wax:-) Hee, hee, hee.
I don't even get my eyebrows waxed!!! I can't imagine how hot wax and then literal tearing can be good for your skin. Or anything else.
Wishing cooling thoughts for your painful, bruised lady bits..........
I don't think I could get waxed, I'm afraid I'd curse up a storm or worse, punch the person waxing me.
:-)
That is something I've never done. I'm more of a DIY kinda girl...wait, that doesn't sound quite right. ;)
I don't know if I could do this. You are a brave woman!
What possessed you? OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!
You're much, much braver than I am!
I cringed and looked away. I thought you were going to show a picture of your brazilian. Thank you for not. The wax was enough.
Yeow!!! At least you lived through it to write about it, congratulations!
Whatever prompted you to do this? Is it bikini weather where you are?
WTH were you thinking? You're crazy lady!!!! OMG lol I can't believe you did that!
Totally worth it! ;D
Ouch! I can't even think about it!
Oh girl! I'm in pain just thinking about it! Maybe it'll be worth it later once the pain is gone...
Glad it was you, and not me.
You poor, poor thing.
Maybe if it lasts long enough it will be worth it.
You are the bravest person I know!
ouch
i've so debated taking a trip to brazil but i do be scurrred!
I have never gone to Brazil. And Brazil has never come to me. I have used a home kit but I've never gone all the way -- more like second base. Haha!
:-)
Traci
I can barely stand to get my eyebrows waxed!
YeeOoooW Leardt a hard lesson did ya ;-)
No thanks, I'll just shave. Didn't you see 40 Year Old Virgin? Sheesh!
Never in a million years would I do that. Nope. Never.
Can't imagine willingly getting that area waxed. Legs, sure. Eyebrows, actively. Upper lip, why not. But no spanks to the nether area...
I appreciate the warning...yikes!!!
OUCH! So not worth the pain.
I did that once and never again. OUch..
Happy Monday..
I've thought about doing it on several occasions, then I remember how much it hurts when I get my eyebrows done.
Gurrrrrrrrl that shit is horrifying... made me wanna go back to the African Bushland!
Ouch...totally not worth it!
Just be patient. When you get to be my age, no waxing will be necessary...it simply falls out on its own! lol
My whoits and whatits hurt just thinking about it. You are a brave brave woman
Oh you poor thing! I have never and will never subject myself to that. You are a brave women!
Oh you poor thing! I have never and will never subject myself to that. You are a brave women!
OUCH! It's bad enough on the eyebrows? But on your privates? Um, no. I don't think I could do it. I'm "allergic" to pain. Love you, Blue!
Hmmm, I used to be a regular Brazil getter, and I totally thought it was worth it! I miss it. Sigh.
No way. I've never even gotten my nether regions regular waxed.
All I have to say is, "OOOOOOOCH!"
I've had one done before but it didn't last long enough to be worth the pain.
Oh this would be on my no way list! You are braver than me!
See I knew it's not worth all the pain. LOL People tell me it's worth it and I'm like no way, no thank you. My razer works just fine. lol
Did you see the greys anatomy episode last week. Hilarious talking about this same thing and Bailey says she likes her surgical field with a little somethign on it. lol
Hahahahaha~ thanks for the warning! I have wondered about such things :)
Oh man, I hope you're ok. I tried to do my legs before my wedding and couldn't get past the first few strips - I'd rather have to shave than look like my husband kicks the shit out of me!
I'd never try it "down there". Eeek.
You are a brave, brave woman. I don't think I could ever do that.
Thanks for your sweet comment on my Iheartfaces photo!~
NO!!!!!!!!! Wax is evil!
YOWZA! I had my eyebrows waxed when I was 8 months pregnant with my son and I swear it almost put me into labour. If I had my yahoo waxed, I'd go into labour for sure. And I don't even have a uterus anymore.
Oh scary!!!!
I've been to scared to try that, my eyes are tearing up just thinking about it!
I'm sorry Blue!
YIKESSSS!
i so don't EVEN like to think about this..
I gave natural birth to a 10 lb baby but I am scared to death of the Brazilian. That's what skirted suits are made for! :)
LOL I agree!!!!
Ouch! Not a good idea!
Yikes! I don't enjoy pain of any sort and that is extreme! No, no and hell no.
Ok, so I've always wondered, how do you make small talk to the person who's uhm, helping you out with that? Isn't it a bit weird?
Ouchie mama!!
No way no how. It's the one thing I could never bring myself to do as much as I wanted to. You are a braver woman than me!
Ouch! I won a laser hair removal treatment in a raffle. Had my legs zapped. It stung a little, but it's permanent!
Hope you're recuperating....I am sure you look great.
I get one done every 8 weeks. I have a love/hate relationship with it. Since I have been doing it so much, the pain isn't so bothersome anymore. In fact, it now hurts me worse when I have my eyebrows waxed. Doing that turns me into a HUGE baby, but I hardly even flinch when I am getting a brazilian anymore.
I've read about these. How DO you bandage your...umm..netherregion???
I could never do it.
Again, sometimes it is just good to be a goat.
is it weird that I knew what a brasil wax was...lol
I applaud you for this, because no way would I EVER do that!! Also, yes, join in on our fun. You are one of the people I wanted to change my name for!!
To much pain but totally worth it!
There is a place in town that specializes in "that" area. It is called The Screamin'Peach.
I don't think it is worth it either.
Ha ha! Ok, I'm sorry, I really shouldn't laugh but the way you wrote about it just makes it so funny!
LOL! I thought about trying it... It's really not worth it?
You are sooo brave, I admire you!
Sending love and hugs your way!
Betty
LOL! I'm one of those "worth it" people! ;)
HAHHAHAHAHAHA.. I'm so sorry I had to laugh It is very painful and I will never do it again LOL
Loved your Blog I am now a Follower God Bless.
PS.. I'm a Natural Brazilian
OUCH!! I have always wanted to go get one but I was too scared...umm, this didn't help any.
I am cringing, crossing my legs and suffering right with you just at the thought. Nope, this one is not for me either!
Oh my! I'm way to big a wimp to go there.
Ouch!!!!
Maybe if someone paid me a million bucks.
You are brave to try!
*cringe*
I applaud your bravery. I haven't had the guts to get it done yet. My friend goes regularly...and pops a few advil before her appointment everytime.
Thanks so much for the follow! I'm now following you. I love your post, and have been considering getting my first waxing "down there". :)
Reminds me of a 7-11 poster I saw:
"Wake up to a Hot Brazilian"
Everyone tells me it's Brazilian coffee, but I just couldn't help but chuckle.
Been there, done that....grew back two weeks later. Total waste of $$!
From what I have heard those are no fun at all. I am never going to get that done!
Yeah, that really just does not look like the least bit of fun.
ack! dontcha have to get on all fours for this? and worse? yikes. i could never do it. i would be mortified. i just use a razor, and that is a pain too, but all in the privacy of my own shower! sorry for the tmi! :)
how funny! but sorry for your pain. I am actually from Brazil and don't have what it takes to brazini ;)
But it was the result of a drunken dare, right? RIGHT?!?
I've heard of those, but I don't think I will ever have the guts to do that. Ouch!
Thanks for stopping by Healthy Moms and leaving us a comment. Have a wonderful Monday!
This is the most humorous post I have read in a while! Not because of the pain and all, but you're just so dang funny! Yeah... not thinking I'm going to try this any time soon though. Nope, moving it WAY down my list of things to do.
I didn't need to know all that....
That is a huge OUCH! You are one brave lil soul!!
LMAO - I've done this once too. And one time was MORE than enough. 70's afro bush all the way, baby! (kidding. sort of).
I do this regularly. Never thought I would, but actually I've gotten used to it. It's never fun, but if you go regularly and pop 3 advil an hour ahead of your appt, it helps. I don't know if I can go back to the bush. LOL
I can't believe you went for that!!! I had a regular waxing a few years ago, and that was the last time!
Somebody needs to tell me why they do this!
You are one brave gal! I have no desire to go there! OUCH! I'm with Mama Badger..what does one talk about with the person administering the wax?
OUCH!
i don't do pain... give me a razor any day over that torture.
I'm cringing in pain for you. Not fun... not fun at all.
I knew I had made the right choice by avoiding one!
Have not done it...not sure I could do it...even when I had my regular eyebrow lady...she was awesome...but I never. OUCH!
Isn't why they invited board shorts for swimming?
Save the forest!
I've been doing laser hair removal - so we can compare pain :D
NOPE - can't do it! You couldn't pay me to subject myself to that!!
Ouch.
My sis does it but you can't talk me into it...ouch!
I'm flinching just reading this!
I have never tried it, because it scares me! Thank you for confirming that fear.
Wow, you are a BRAVE one, aren't you?
Um, I sure hope you're planning on actually wearing a bikini sometime soon after putting yourself through that!!!
yeah, can't bring myself to do that. You are a STRONG STRONG woman blue violet!
Heck no!! Besides, my skin is so sensitive, I would end up with a rash:p
Ouch, ouch, ouch!!
I've always wanted to try that. I tried it myself once. Definitely don't do that.
you are so brave!!! I'm way to scared to try that! :)
Ow. My private parts are puckering up just thinking about it. I bet it makes ya feel sexy, tho! You know, once the bruising and swelling go down!
Blogdammit that must have hurt!
Thank you! I always thought I could...until I freaked out of fear. Good to know it's not worth it.
I've been thinking about trying this. Getting my eyebrows done doesn't hurt at all to me anymore so I start to feel a false sense of security about visiting Brasil.
I'm sorry that you feel it wasn't worth it, but I'm sure all that bruising is totally sexy.
A braver woman than I!
Oh man! I'm cringing just thinking of this!! I used to manage a salon and would let the stylists practice waxing on me-- however that was a no go zone for me. I don't even want to imagine the pain.
Eek!
I saw a friend go through it and cancelled my appt on the spot! That was years ago and I haven't been convinced to go back since; I handle my grooming in the privacy of my bathroom, and it's all pain-free!
Ha ha ha. Where are the pictures?
I'm impressed by the lengths you will go for a blog post. That's why you did it, right? A blog post? :) OUCH!
Ouch!! Mighty brave of you, blueviolet!
Judas priest, you are one brave woman!
Are you serious about brusing?? Oh no!!
Ouch, it pains me just to read about it. That is one experience I never cared to have.
So are you cold? Ah ha ha
I have never been brave enough to try! Thank you for letting me know that it's not worth it!
I'm not sure if you're brave or foolish, lol!
I'm not sure which is braver; getting it done, or telling everyone> LOL
Oh gosh no thanks...that is to much pain for me! You bruised? That's horrible hope your better soon
I've had two....and I am pretty sure I'll never get another!
been there! done that!!!
Oh my word, what pray tell was the occasion? ;o)
OUCH OUCH AND OUCH!! I have never done this...and I know I won't now! Hope you are healing nicely : )
if you can find a salon that does sugaring, try that...same smooooth feeling but way less painful b/c it doesn't stick to the skin.
awesome post! :D
I've never done this! Ouch...just thinking about it is not pretty.
Praise the Lord that I am too old to give a damn about what's going on with the bush. I don't even care if the "carpet matches the drapes."
Back in my youth, when dinosaurs roamed the earth, men were just so grateful to get into your pants, they never dared utter a word of complaint.
What horrendous pressure women put on themselves now. Still, at least you had the guts to give it a try once.
I'd never do it...worth what, exactly?!
Will you be vagazzling as well? (As for myself, I'm lucky if I get the weed whacker out occasionally and get a good trim. Sexy huh?)
Hee - just been ROTF laughing at the comments - Glad you tried that one on for all of us :)
Kristin
OMG! Seriously? Wordless!
Yikes. I'll take your word for it. Not going there. Ever.
You are one brave woman!
OUCH!
LOL! I agree.
That picture scares me, lol!
Hey there! It's me again. I know you have your comments turned off on your most recent post. I just wanted to say that I hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend! Looking forward to hearing about it when you get back!
Hugs,
Beth
Ouch! No way would I let anyone get near me with that evil looking mixture.
OOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW! and I am posting down here and counting it twice because wth is up with turning off the comments above? Don't you know I am on a comment challenge? sheesh. and why are you not updating on my blogroll? did I forget to hit save on you or is there an issue? Have a great weekend lady!
NO freaking way! But I say having a little hair helps when I'm fluffy no one wants to see that hairless ... lol :)
Before Brazil came to my territory...I would need laughing gas, or a sedative, or rum...lots and lots of rum!
So not worth it!!
Funny. I'm reading a book where a divorcee's BFF makes her get a brazilian wax job and really talks it up.
oh lordy! I have kind of always wanted to do this but have been so scared... maybe I'll knock it off of my list!
I want to try it.
I've never done it. But my sister has and her story was ENOUGH!
Hhahah! I am sorry for my laughter, I am just imagining your kids faces as they read this.
Hilarious! And ouch! xoxo
Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow, OW!!!!
I've done the bikini area a few times and that hurt enough. I've thought about going "all the way to Brazil" but I just couldn't do it. Now you have completely made up my mind. NO.WAY.IN.HELL!!!
Hahaha, I've been there... and should've taken the technician out to dinner before!! :)
LOL x 200
You are one gutsy lady.
you are much bolder than i am lol
Glad to know that you're one to take one for the team!!
I've always been intrigued, but now I think I've lost interest. Yikes!
I hope your weekend was magical!!
Ouch!
ooo OW!
