The Lumby Lines {Book Review}

A Nut in a NutshellThe Lumby Lines

by Gail Fraser

While vacationing in a cozy little town in the Northwest called Lumby, an east coast couple stumble upon the Montis Abbey, which has been extensively damaged by a fire and has fallen into disrepair. They decide to purchase the property, return its historical integrity, and reopen it as a bed and breakfast inn.

The town has its share of oddball residents and there are some crazy happenings like a dog running for mayor, goats chewing on money in a bank vault, and cows eating an entire field of marijuana.

The local newspaper, The Lumby Lines, reports the town’s misadventures in a light and funny way, and this is scattered throughout the book for the reader’s enjoyment.

The warmth and quaint charm of the community drew me in, and I found it to be a comforting and enjoyable book. There are several other books in the series (this was the first one), and I am very much looking forward to reading them.

I received a copy of The Lumby Lines from FSB Associates for my review. No other compensation was received. The review contains my own honest opinions of the book.
