What do you think of my daughter’s Uhura?

My daughter either throws a Halloween party or goes to one every single year, so I decided to let her do some looking for costumes for Halloween at Costume Supercenter and pick one out for herself!

Look what she picked! It’s the classic Star Trek red dress. I guess that’s Uhura?

I know absolutely nothing about Star Trek.

Here’s what she said about it:

The costume fits in a flattering way without being too clingy or too short, which I was initially worried about because I like to be more modest on Halloween than many other young ladies.

As far as sizing, I ordered one size up from what the size chart recommended. I wear a 2 or 3, which translates to an XS on their charts, but I ordered a small. The dress has an interesting boat neck/cowl collar and some gold detailing at the sleeves to make it more special. Although the fabric is definitely man-made, it’s not see-through, so I don’t have to worry about fussing with special undergarments.
