I’m afraid I’m going to jinx myself by telling you that I haven’t been sick in at least 4 years.
The last time I was sick I had the flu, and it was bad, oh so very, very bad.
I don’t want to be near anyone, anything, or any place that could possibly cause a repeat of that nightmare.
My family and I do what we can to prevent the spread of germs, like washing our hands frequently, using sanitizing wipes on grocery cart handles, and using disinfectant on things like door handles, light switches, and phone receivers. Plus, if I hear anyone sneezing or sniffling around me, I am o-u-t out of there!
Cool App Alert: If you’re lucky enough to have a smartphone, you can track cold and flu activity within the U.S. by zipcode. Just download the FREE mobile app WheresFlu from Theraflu for your iPhone®/iPod touch®, Android™, and BlackBerry®.
I’m lucky that my area has low cold and flu activity right now (less than 5%), but I’ll be tracking the app to see if that changes. You can also see the 5 most affected cities, places where I will not be traveling anytime soon, thankyouverymuch.
The app also allows you to send yourself and your friends a $2.00 Theraflu coupon! And remember, it’s FREE!

I’m like you. Every time I comment that I’ve not been sick in a long time, I get sick. This jinx is so bad that not long ago, realizing that saying I’d not been sick would bring it on, I *simply thought to myself* ‘hey, it’s been a while since I’ve been sick,’ … two days later my head was so full of snot it almost exploded.
Very cool app! Now to get one of those fancy phones that have apps!
