The Best Mouthwash in My Opinion is Still Listerine {Review and Giveaway}

The first time I ever bought mouthwash, I chose Listerine. Why? I have no freakin’ clue, but my guess is that it was affordable, and the name was familiar to me.

Since then, I’ve tried several other brands, some of which have been horrid, and some of which have been ok, but are way too expensive. So I have always gone back to my Listerine Cool Mint Antiseptic.

Besides, Listerine provides 24 hour protection against germs that cause plaque and gingivitis!

Listerine Antiseptic

Did you know that it’s the only antimicrobial mouthwash to have the ADA Seal of Acceptance on it?

Now some of you are gonna argue that you don’t like it because it burns. I’ll concede that point. It does burn, and sometimes my eyes even water because of it. But I like knowing that it’s killing bad breath germs, and fighting plaque and gingivitis, so the burn is ok with me.

But if it’s not ok with you, try Listerine Zero.

Listerine Zero

This is the less intense, alcohol-free alternative to Listerine Antiseptic. It still contains the same signature essential oil ingredients to kill bad breath germs, but it doesn’t have the alcohol, so it doesn’t have that burn.

Even I have to admit that I might switch over completely. I’ve been using both of them over the last month or so to compare, and I was really impressed with Listerine Zero, really impressed!

I also tried Listerine Whitening Plus Restoring Post-Brush Fluoride Rinse, which is a dual benefit rinse. It works on contact to whiten teeth and strengthen tooth enamel.

Listerine Whitening Plus Restoring

You brush normally, and then swish for 1 minute with the rinse, but you need to wait at least 30 minutes before consuming anything, so that the product has a chance to work.

I am extremely sensitive to whitening agents for teeth, and they usually really hurt me, so I was pretty worried about having to try this.

It only bothered me a little bit while using it, but my sensitivity is probably greater than most, so for the majority of people, it would probably work well, and it sure beats those whitening strips by a mile!
