Windex Mini Refill Pouches

Now you can make a greener choice when cleaning windows and glass thanks to Windex concentrated refills!

Using a concentrate makes so much sense.

Concentrates use less packaging, decrease shipping impacts and reduce waste.

But you know what? Testing has shown that consumers are hesitant to refill household cleaning bottles. That’s so interesting to me. I wonder why, because it’s so easy!

How To Use Windex Mini Refills

1. Cut corner of the refill pouch and empty contents into a 25-oz Windex trigger bottle. (Hint: A smaller corner cut will help you better control how it pours.)

2. Slowly fill the bottle with tap water. (If you fill too quickly, it will create too much foam.)

3. That’s it. Your Windex is now ready to use! It’s so easy!

Using refills makes a difference

People currently buy 21 million bottles of Windex each year. If just 20 percent of those bottles were refilled, it could:

-Save 350,000 pounds of plastic – that’s 26 million ballpoint pens
-Avoid using 175,000 pounds of virgin plastic – that’s 3 million soda bottles
-Avoid transporting 735,000 gallons of water – that’s more than 6 million pounds by weight

And the refill pouches work just as well! Ya’ll know Windex is the only glass cleaner with that beautiful streak-free shine! I even tried to take photos to prove it, but photographing mirrors is crazy hard!

Buy It! Windex Minis are sold in 3-packs ($7.50) exclusively at www.scjgreenerchoices.com (You’ll also find a forum where consumers share feedback.)

I like the idea of refills, I actually like to do this already but I’ve never purchased a manufactured refill like this. What I don’t like is that if you buy three refills for the price listed, you are paying the same price that you pay for the bottle of regular product which means that the Windex company saves money on shipping heavy water and the manufacturing of plastic bottles but doesn’t pass the savings on to the consumer.
