Dang it, I was gonna capture my daughter’s life on film regardless of how weak the audio production was (meaning me and my narration), and if I had to do it on one of those big moronic VHS-tape shoulder cams, by golly, I was gonna do it.
The very first thing we filmed was me giving our daughter a bath. She was as clueless as ever to start, then her face fired up a cherry red, and she shot a stream of poo goo clear across the tub.
Priceless.
The second thing we filmed was me holding my daughter up in the air as she squealed with delight while streams of drool dripped down and onto my face. I brushed them off nonchalantly, while my completely appalled husband looked on in horror.
Priceless.
We filmed our little cherub doing everything.
But the problem with almost all of our movies is that they just kept on going and going and going.
What was I thinking? After the fact, it’s just not fun to watch a baby sit there and do absolutely nothing but breathe.
And no matter how exciting Christmas is in the moment…there’s nothing worse than watching Christmas over again.
Fa la la la blah blah.
Am I right?
I have lots of super cute video moments throughout the years, but they’re so long and so boring and they’re all stuck on VHS tape.
So do you know of any web design tools or of an image editing program that I can use to crop the crap out of those old home movies and make them viewable?
Seriously, how do I get them off those old tapes and edited?
And, are your home movies as boring to watch as mine?
