I buy all the same kinds of socks so if I lose one, it doesn’t snap my heart in two.
I sort my laundry as it goes into the hamper. Off the body, into the sorting bin.
I wash with cold water, except for the “underneaths”. They take a hot bath, ya know.
And I sort my clothes by color and by thickness. Lightweights and heavyweights.
I try to save steps and energy when I can, but my efficiency is nothing compared to that of my Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer.
Truthfully, they scared me at first. It was hard getting used to their newfangled ways of cleaning.
For instance:
Water Savings – My clothes don’t have to slosh and drown in an ocean of water anymore. The washer cleans my clothes even better than before while using A LOT less water. (up to 12,857 gallons of water per household annual savings = $3,300)
Energy Savings – If I use the Ecoboost setting on my washer, it saves energy on the cycle by decreasing the water temperature and increasing the tumbling. There is also an Ecoboost button on the dryer. (Some cycles have Ecoboost built in.)
Time Savings – The wash cycle is sometimes longer but it spins crazy fast! The dryer cycle is shorter because of that crazy fast wash spin and the sensors, which rock at sensing when clothes are dry!
I wash AND dry five loads in my new Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer in the same amount of time I used to do three.
I’m saving time. I’m saving money. I’m saving energy.
It’s a win!
I wrote this review while participating in a test-drive campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Whirlpool and received a complimentary Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer to facilitate my review.
