Red Envelope Gifts for Men + $100 Gift Certificate Giveaway

I really enjoy picking out gifts for people, and it makes me so happy when I find just the right thing! But when I have to choose gifts for men, I cringe.

It’s so hard to figure out what a dude would like!

Every year, I see those lame department store displays with the same old cheesy ideas. (Some of the stuff is ok, but it’s usually cheaply made.)  No can do.

Red Envelope, save me!

I headed over to their website to see if they could save my life, and I found all manner of gift ideas! They’ve got classic and traditional gifts, but they also have some lighthearted and quirky gifts.

Look at this crazy personalized beer bottle holster I found (not my choice, but still hilarious).

I had a tough time deciding what to get. There’s something for every personality and taste!

I ended up in the bar accessory gifts, where I ordered this vintage-styled Hootch-Owl corkscrew. It was modeled after a 1930′s era corkscrew…sweet!

When it arrived, I was pretty amazed at the heft of it. The little fella was heavyweight and ready for duty!

So naturally, I had to oblige.

I screwed it onto the top of my wine bottle, then twisted the handle so the corkscrew went down into the cork.

It’s a double lever corkscrew, which makes opening wine bottles so much easier. All I had to do to release the cork was to push down on the side levers (his wings), and the little cork slid right on out.

My little feathered friend has opened several bottles of wine since it arrived, and I’m pretty darn impressed with how well it works. Priced at $49.95, it’s worth every penny.
