Cheese is joyful, joyful joy.
Shredded, melted, sliced, crumbled… I’ll take it any which way, yes please four times and thank you.
And Cracker Barrel Cheese, ohhhhhh, that’s the kapow of cheeses!
It’s available in sticks, cubes, shreds, slices, cracker cuts, and bricks in the most delicious award winning cheese flavors!
I tend to eat cheese by the slice (after slice after slice), so I bought three Cracker Barrel cheese bricks this week to put together a simple cheese and fruit tray for myself. Yes, I said myself.
I don’t share cheese.
So yeah, back to that cheese tray o’ mine. I sliced up some sharp and extra sharp cheddar, along with some Vermont sharp white cheddar, and I ate it all.
Ok, the truth is that I ate it in more than one sitting, but I ate it all, oh yes I did.
The flavor was amazing! There was a zing and sharpness complemented with a smooth, creaminess – utterly delicious! It’s no wonder that so many of their cheese flavors have won awards!
The next day, I went back to the store and got two of the newest flavors: Jalapeno and Cracked Black Pepper. I love cheese with a kick, and I also saw this recipe on their Facebook page, and I have got to try it.
Black Pepper Bruschetta
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1 ciabatta sandwich roll, cut into 6 slices
5 oz. (1/2 of 10-oz. pkg.) CRACKER BARREL White Cheddar Cheese with Cracked Black Pepper, cut into 6 slices
6 large fresh basil leaves
5 cherry tomatoes, cut in half
Directions:
Drizzle oil, then vinegar onto serving plate.
Arrange bread, cheese, and basil alternately on plate.
Add tomatoes.
Note – To prevent the bread or cheese from becoming discolored from the vinegar, prepare using white (not red) balsamic vinegar.
Now, I’m about to do something unheard of with cheese. I’m gonna share it. I know, right? Crazy.
