A holiday dinner can put a huge crimp into anyone’s budget, but it’s also a meal that most of us really care about. So when Sam’s Club challenged me to create a holiday meal on a budget of $75, I was worried that I’d be able to do it, but I was sure willing to try.
I stay pretty true every year to what I make for Christmas dinner, so I was hoping that I’d find everything I needed at Sam’s Club so as not to disappoint.
And I did!
I knew that my biggest expense was going to be a spiral sliced ham, but that was surprisingly affordable for such a good size.
I also found everything I needed to make homemade cheesy potatoes.
They had a gigantic bag of cranberries for my must have whole berry cranberry sauce.
I found the most delicious freezer-to-oven rolls I’ve ever had, Sister Schubert’s Dinner Yeast Rolls.
And for dessert, I bought a cheesecake trio selection made by The Cheesecake Factory.
We had very happy Christmas bellies!
And how did I do on the budget challenge? Well, I came in under my $75, and since everything was sold in large sizes, I still have the makings for future meals left over!
