The Chinese New Year festival runs from January 23 – February 6, and this is the Year of the Dragon!
On the eve of Chinese New Year, families often get together for a feast, and so I thought I would have a feast as well.
I cooked up two of P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Noodle Meals: Firecracker Shrimp with Yakisoba Noodles and Grilled Chicken Teriyaki with Lo Mein Noodles.
Everything is cooked in one skillet and they only take about 10-12 minutes from start to finish. I dare you to tell me these don’t look delicious! Soooooo yummy!
And since the color red symbolizes good luck, I hung up a few red paper lanterns. I need all the luck I can get these days!
If you’ve never tried the P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Meals before, I can’t recommend them enough. I’ve written about them a few times, and I honestly feel that they taste every bit as good as a restaurant meal.
Speaking of restaurants, if you visit P.F. Chang’s China Bistro between now and February 6th, you’ll receive a lucky red envelope which contains a surprise good on your next visit! (A 10-50% discount off the bill, or a free appetizer or dessert)
And if you’d rather just stay in and enjoy the Home Menu like I did, check out the Year of the Dragon tab on P.F. Chang’s Facebook page and open the red envelope there. You could win one of the ten daily prizes, so try every day through February 12, 2012.
Guess what? I’m also having a Red Envelope Giveaway right here!
