Vivint Reviews – Modern Security and Home Automation

Last year when we had that awful hurricane, I was safely in the Midwest with my daughter. But I was really worried about my house, and I wished that I could see how badly it was being pounded by the storm.

I needed a crystal ball.

And shortly after that, I stumbled across a bunch of Vivint reviews. Vivint (formerly APX Alarm) is a home monitoring company, but what struck me was that their whole system is smart phone friendly, which means I could have checked on my house and allayed my concerns!

Now that’s futuristic. Except it’s not. It’s right here, right now. It’s exactly what people need.

It’s exactly what I needed.

So I’ve been looking into it a little further and this is what I’ve found. They offer home security and home automation which can be managed from the touch panel installed near your front door or remotely through a website and smartphone apps!

You can remotely lock and unlock your doors and disarm your security system to let the kids or a babysitter in after school. You can also remotely control your thermostat, lights, and even small appliances.

With the in-home cameras, you can choose specific times when video clips will be recorded, and you can watch the results on your smartphone or computer.

Along with intrusion detection, Vivint also offers water, fire, and carbon monoxide detection.

I haven’t tried it yet,  but it sure sounds cool!
