Barilla Microwaveable Meals + Giveaway

I eat frozen pasta meals every single day, so it doesn’t take much convincing for me to try a shelf stable pasta meal instead.

Send them over yesterday, please.

These —–> Barilla Microwaveable Meals.

There are five varieties:

• Mezze Penne with Tomato & Basil Sauce
• Mezze Penne with Traditional Marinara Sauce
• Mezze Penne with Spicy Marinara Sauce
• Whole Grain Fusilli with Vegetable Marinara Sauce
• Whole Grain Mezze Penne with Tomato & Basil Sauce

Ready in 60 seconds. 100% natural. No preservatives.

Let’s try it.

They come in microwave-ready trays, so all I had to do was peel to vent and heat on high for 60 seconds.

FYI after heating: The peel-off lid is very securely attached, so be sure to hold the sauce tray firmly in place while removing the film .

Once the film was removed, I just dumped the sauce over my pasta, mixed together and had at it! It’s amazing that 60 seconds would heat it so perfectly, but it really did. It was piping hot!

There was plenty of sauce along with some wonderful chunks of tomato too. Oh, it was tasty! (It’s one of the Mezze Penne meals.)

And at 320 calories and 9 to 11 grams of protein per serving, it fits in perfectly with my nutrition goals.

There are also two meals with whole grain noodles. This is the fusilli and vegetable marinara sauce. Look at those yummy veggies in there!

I’ve actually eaten all five varieties already. I absolutely LOVE them. I tend to choose quick-fix meals for lunch every single day and I need them to be healthy and nutritious as well as easy to make, so I’m going to add these into my permanent routine.

With a shelf life of 12 months at room temperature, I can stock up for myself, and they’re perfect to send to my busy son at college for quick meals between classes.

Thumbs up on these, waaaaay up!

Buy It! Look for them in nationwide grocery stores for the MSRP of $3.29. (I found them on sale 2/$5 at my local store last week!)
