Make soft pretzels at home!
If I can do it, you can do it.
Try Auntie Anne’s At-Home Baking Kit like I did. It comes in two flavors: Apple Cinnamon and Gingerbread. I decided to make the Apple Cinnamon pretzels and although there were a lot of steps, the directions for each were simple and clear.
I’ll give you a general idea of the steps. First you mix the dough and let it rise and all that good stuff.
Then you cut it into strips, roll the strips into long ropes, then twist each rope into a pretzel shape.
Dunk the pretzel twist into a hot water baking soda solution, drain and then place on baking sheet and bake.
After baking and while still warm, brush them with melted butter and sprinkle on the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Not half bad for my first time making homemade soft pretzels, huh?
And oh my goodness, yum!

Gingerbread. My 5 year old loves it and wanted me to make some yesterday. I made chocolate chips because they were easier and we had time issues. I bet she’d love these!
I want the Gingerbread kit.
I would most like to try Apple Cinnamon.
