There’s nobody in the world who annoys me more than me, because I’m stubborn and I like things to stay the same. That’s all fine and good except when it comes to technology.
Learning curves are scary!
You see, I’m a Windows Champion blogger, and I got this brand new Surface RT tablet with Windows 8 just before Christmas, but in spite of my excitement, every time I turned it on I just touched a few buttons, swiped the screen this way and that, and then turned it back off again.
Windows 8 is super cool but so different!
But embrace technology I always do, so gradually I found myself using it more and more and more, mostly as a tablet sans keyboard.
However, it came bundled with a super thin, lightweight, and surprisingly responsive Touch Cover keyboard. The problem for me is that I use a split keyboard with my desktop. so my fingers have an incredibly hard time staying on task without actual keys.
But hold on loosely; there’s a fairy tale ending here.
I hemmed and hawed about it but I finally broke down and bought the Surface Type Cover with my own cash money. And with the first few keystrokes, I was fully in love with the Surface and with Windows 8.
Swoooooon!
And with the integrated kickstand which props the tablet at the perfect work angle, I’ve been exploring Windows 8 on my small “laptop” and loving it!
So, things are looking up around here and when I get super comfy with Windows 8 and my sweet little gadget, I’ll give you a good rundown on things!
Stay tuned.

Looking forward to the review once you get more used to it. I love the commercials for the keyboards, they are clever.
wow this is nice! Love the keyboard.
I thought the new Windows phone I got was awesome, but that is one great tablet!
I’ve never heard of that tablet. I can’t wait to hear more about it.
Wow, that looks so cool.
Oh I’m so jealous! I want one of these so badly. I hope you enjoy it even more as time goes by.
I am adapting to the Windows 8 phone right now. I’m really starting to like it… was just shopping to buy it “presents”…lol.
I’m looking forward to the review!
The tablet looks pretty cool!
Since my computer is over 4 years old, I have been actively looking for something new, but with so much on the market and with so much new technology, I’m struggling with where to ever start. Like you, I hate learning curves. A friend just got the new Windows phone and loves it and has been trying to talk me into the new tablet. If you had a fairy tale ending, perhaps I’ll step out of my comfort zone and give it a try too.
