TWISTER Rave Skip-It
Some of my favorite childhood toys were the ones my parents never bought for me, like Skip-It. I only got to play with it once a year when we visited family friends in Ohio. They had two of them, so I could play as long as I wanted… once a year.
Needless to say, I bought my own kids one, but it was nothing like the brand new Twister Rave Skip-It ($19.99) from Hasbro which lights up!
I grabbed it and ran outside to play! If you’ve never played before, you put the hoop on one leg and swing the Skip-It around you in a circle while you hop over it with the other foot.
You can tell from my smile that I’m in an adult version of childhood heaven.
Obviously, you can’t see it “lighting up” in the daylight, but as you play, the colors start to glow until all 4 colors are glowing! There are over 20 light levels, but if you stop, the Skip-It resets to level 1.
Designed for one player at a time, ages 6 and up. Requires 3 “AA” batteries (not included). Demo batteries included.
I love this game, absolutely love it!
TWISTER Rave Ringz
Snap, twist and clap to the beat with the new Twister Rave Ringz . ($9.99) Push the top of the ring to start and with each movement, the colors will change. There are over 20 different handclap games at PlayTwister.com to try and master, or you can just move around and dance while the colors flash and change!
Rave Ringz are packaged in two’s and can be played solo or with a friend. Ages 8 and up. Six A76 alkaline button cell batteries required (3 per ring); demo batteries included.
Although I checked out several of the handclap games at PlayTwister.com (some are tricky!), I really only messed around with these rings for fun, mostly because I couldn’t stop playing with the Skip-It.
Buy It: Look for TWISTER Rave games in nationwide toy retailers and online at Hasbro and Amazon.
