I just tried the Subway Smokehouse BBQ Chicken Sandwich gratis (thanks Subway!) and while I usually don’t stray from my favorites there, I’m kinda glad I did this time. It was tasty!
You know what made me go for it? The fact that there are only 6 grams of fat and 380 calories in the 6-inch (which is the largest size I ever order).
Tender, pulled chicken smothered in smoky BBQ sauce on freshly baked bread. I couldn’t say no!
The reality of the sandwich is that it’s not nearly so packed with meat as it shows in the ads, so I’m guessing the average guest would be pretty disappointed about that.
However, since I’m not a big meat eater, and I typically remove half of it anyhow, it was perfect for me. (Yes, I’m weird.)
The chicken was perfectly tender, and was soused with a sweet and smoky BBQ sauce which I thought was quite good. I completely enjoyed this sandwich, and I would definitely order it again, especially since it’s on the FRESH FIT menu.
The Smokehouse BBQ Chicken sandwich is only available for a limited time though, so if you’d like to try it, be sure to get in there this month. It’s also a $6 FOOTLONG™ Special!
