Slow cooker beans and weenies!
Next time you cook hot dogs on the grill, throw a few extra on and make an easy dinner of slow cooker beans and weenies.
I personally like using quality hot dogs that “snap”. If you’re a hot dog lover, you know exactly what I mean.
Throw a package on the grill and maybe have a couple classic hot dogs for lunch and save the rest to make slow cooker beans and weenies.
Beans and weenies can easily be made year-round too. In fact, it was raining last weekend, so I had to use my indoor grill to cook them. But, if you can grill outside, do it!
Then slice those hot dogs into bite-sized pieces.
Add the hot dog chunks and the remaining ingredients to your slow cooker, and cook on low heat for about 2 hours or until beans are heated through and onions have softened.
If you’re in a hurry, you can simmer them gently on the stovetop in about 30 minutes, but be sure to stir them regularly so they won’t burn.
