This follow-up post about sending happy birthday wishes via birthday card to my sweet boyfriend is part of a sponsored Collective Bias campaign.
You guys give good advice! Remember when I went shopping for Hallmark cards at Walmart and couldn’t make up my mind on which birthday card to get my boyfriend so I bought three of them?
By the way, I also picked up two birthday wishes that can be ready for whomever and whenever, you know, so I can make like I’m organized.
Which I’m not. Wait, I am! I just bought two cards to have on hand.
So anyways…. if you remember, I was trying to decide which of these three cards I should give to my boyfriend for his birthday and I asked you all for help.
Y’all are fantastic! You didn’t just vote, but you explained why you voted the way you did, and it gave me a lot to think about.
Even though I tend to roll my eyes at all the foo-foo fluff that’s a part of romance, I can still relate to the emotion, and I shouldn’t be afraid to let a card say what I’m not comfortable saying.
I chose #1, the most “foo-foo fluffy” birthday card of the bunch, because shucks… I really do love the guy.
And he loved the card! Just as I (and you guys) suspected.
And then we went out for a birthday wishes celebration of the very best kind: PIZZA!!!! Only one pizza place in town serves Grandma’s-style pizza with smoked mozzarella cheese. You gotta try it if you haven’t already!
Happy Birthday to the dearest, sweetest curmudgeon I know! Love you, honey!
